Project summary
This project trained archaeologists from eight countries in the use of an open-source aerial recording methodology, designed for conflict zones and other areas where access to the ground is restricted.
The team documented hundreds of endangered sites alongside other field work, training and conferences. It has supported the creation of national databases which will help authorities to monitor and safeguard important archaeological sites.
