Project summary
Much of Raqqa’s built heritage was in a precarious position following the widespread and prolonged fighting that was necessary to expel ISIS from the city.
Further training, documentation and awareness raising activities ensure the damaged assessments and recording of a minimum of ten monuments which will support the future preservation of important Syrian cultural heritage.
