Project summary
This project digitised key aspects of the photographic and newspaper collections housed at the McMillan Memorial Library in Nairobi, Kenya.
Threatened by increasing levels of heat and humidity as a result of climate change, more than 25,000 items have been digitised and housed in improved storage conditions, preserving them for the future.
This project held community-focused training sessions for professionals and interns on collections management and climate change preparation and response to raise local awareness of climate change and the collections.
