Project summary

The conflict in Libya has damaged the country’s heritage, the impact from which is compounded by continued internal divisions and the presence of Daesh.

Historic monuments have been at risk of damage or destruction from armed conflict, purposeful destruction and vandalism.

This project trained officials from the Libyan and Tunisian national heritage organisations in documentation techniques, preventative conservation and heritage management.
