We’re very proud to announce that Stephen Bailey (aka Steve Stenning), the British Council's Director Culture in Action, has been awarded an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours list for services to UK Cultural Relations.
Steve, who set up the Cultural Protection Fund and has been instrumental to its success, received his OBE from the Princess Royal at an investiture which took place at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
Speaking about the honour, Steve said:
“I am particularly proud that the honour is for international cultural relations. It recognises the importance of British Council’s core mission and the work of the amazing colleagues I have benefitted so much from working with.”
